KLC Updates

WP_20160512_19_55_38_Rich__highresThe Kentucky Lucky Chicken Trail is coming along. As a completely volunteer designed and built trail, it takes a bit longer than a paid crew. Luckily, we have some amazing mountain bikers in Washington County who are willing to come out after work and do more backbreaking work.

That work is beginning to pay off and we just hit another bench mark. The KLC now extends just over 2 miles! Woot! Woot! This means you can get a 4 mile ride if you do it as an out-and-back.

And yes, that means you can ride it. In fact, we would love for you to ride it. We need tires on the ground to help beat in the tread and so we can see if there are any parts that need to be adjusted for differing riding styles.

So get out and ride! We’ll have next week’s build days posted soon.

A few pics from this week’s work. A big thanks to Teejay and Shane Jones, Kathleen Berglund, John Scarafiotti and Eddie Richmond for coming out and putting in some sweat equity.
